There is no other “Greek-letter” organization quite like Lambda Sigma Upsilon. Originally designed as a Latino social fellowship rather than as a typical fraternity, LSU is concerned neither with mass expansion nor with the quick acquisition of new “brothers.” Instead, the Upsilon family prides itself in maintaining “quality over quantity” –placing the sincerity and integrity of its brothers as priorities far above the mere addition of more. Consequently, prospective members endure a lengthy, life-changing process rather than a traditional initiation or rite of passage. Lambda Sigma Upsilon is committed to creating genuine brothers who remain committed to the organization & to its principals for life and The Emperadores Chapter at Kean University is no exception to this philosophy.
